Community Dreams Project

Helping Donors and Nonprofits Build a Stronger Pottstown Region

The Community Dreams Project is a partnership between the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation (PRCF), local nonprofits, and donors who want to make a meaningful difference. It serves as a bridge that connects donor interests with projects, programs, and long term ideas that can strengthen the community.

Why PRCF Launched This Initiative

When PRCF transitioned from a private foundation to a public community foundation on July 1, 2023, we expanded our work to include donor advised giving and long term community investment. Donors often ask where their contributions can have the greatest impact. Nonprofits often have powerful ideas that could grow with additional resources. The Community Dreams Project brings these two needs together.

Our Commitment

PRCF exists to connect charitable intentions with the community’s most impactful needs. By uplifting local ideas and inviting donor partnership, the Community Dreams Project strengthens the entire nonprofit ecosystem and supports long term regional wellbeing.

Together we turn community dreams into community impact.

For Nonprofits

Share Your Organization’s Dreams

Nonprofits and local units of government are invited to submit up to three projects that would benefit from donor support. These can include:

  • Short term needs that require immediate funding
  • Projects in planning or early development
  • Large scale, visionary ideas that could transform the community if funding were not a barrier
  • Shovel ready initiatives that are prepared to launch

All submissions are welcomed throughout the year and will be added to the Community Dreams list as they are received.

How It Works

  1. Submit your project ideas through the PRCF form.
  2. PRCF shares your submissions with donors who express interest in particular issue areas.
  3. When a donor wants more information or wishes to invest, PRCF will contact your organization directly.

While PRCF cannot guarantee funding, the Community Dreams Project helps shine a light on your mission and inspires donors who want to contribute to meaningful local work.
