Pottstown Regional Community Foundation (PRCF) collaborates across sectors to strengthen lives throughout western Montgomery, northern Chester, and eastern Berks Counties. From neighborhood-level projects to multi-sector regional coalitions, our programs and initiatives reflect a commitment to health equity, educational opportunity, and economic stability.
PRCF’s flexible programmatic work allows us to complement our ongoing Grantmaking with additional collaborative efforts that meet emerging community needs, strengthen systems, and multiply impact.
Many of the region’s most complex challenges require coordinated, cross-sector collaboration. PRCF convenes diverse stakeholders to design shared strategies, strengthen local leadership, and ensure resources are aligned for greatest community benefit. Explore these regional collaborations on our Community Collaboratives page.
The Thriving Communities Program supports regional planning efforts that improve infrastructure, transportation, and equitable access to opportunity. With support from the USDOT Thriving Communities grant, this initiative focuses on equitable transit-oriented development, neighborhood revitalization, and long-term strategies that ensure residents have safe, reliable access to jobs, education, healthcare, and community resources. Beyond traditional grantmaking, PRCF leads several Signature Initiatives that foster community pride, increase access, and promote healthier lifestyles:
The Regional Home Garden Contest encourages healthy eating, physical activity, and environmental stewardship by empowering residents to grow home and community gardens. The contest fosters neighborhood pride and supports year-round learning about nutrition and food access
The Pottstown Play Streets initiative brings temporary street closures to neighborhoods, creating safe outdoor play spaces for children and families. Play Streets promotes physical activity, builds community connection, and increases access to safe recreation.
Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds Institute offers professional development, training, and learning resources for educators, administrators, and community leaders. The institute helps schools and youth-serving organizations build comprehensive wellness cultures that integrate nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and academic success.
Pottstown Regional Community Foundation connects philanthropic intentions with our community’s most impactful economic, social, and educational needs to improve the quality of life for all residents today and tomorrow.
