Description

Start 2026 off right by joining us for our Polar Run 5k or 2.26 mile race and fun run/walk.  The Polar Run has been created as a key component in an overall effort to raise awareness throughout the tri-county area of the importance of being physically active.  This 5k or 2.26 mile race or fun run/walk is being held in conjunction with the 16th Annual Polar Plunge hosted by Pottstown Parks & Recreation.

NEW THIS YEAR!  A TRIATHLON OR DUATHLON OPTION!

Leg 1 @ 10:30 AM- Participate in Polar Plunge (Starts Promptly)

Leg 2 @ 10:45 AM- Participate in the New Years Day Tradition of eating one hot dog with sauerkraut

Leg 3 @ 11:00 AM- Run the Pottstown Polar Run 5k (Must run 5k distance)

Sponsored by the Manatawny Athletic Club, whose sole mission is to help people of varying athletic and fitness levels engage in healthy lifestyles through fun, community oriented, judgement-free programming and events, the Polar Run promises to be a fun and uniquely-exhilarating way to kick off 2026!  This event is co-hosted with the Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation.

All participants receive a Medal and are eligible for AG award / participant gift.  Those participating in the Triathlon/Duathlon will receive an additional bib for eating purposes with the Triathlon/Hot Dog Logo on it and the year of participation.
