Pottstown Regional Community Foundation Receives Outstanding Community Partner Award from Family Services

Audubon, PA The Pottstown Regional Community Foundation (PRCF) has been named the Outstanding Community Partner Award recipient by Family Services of Montgomery County. The award was presented at Family Services’ Annual Recognition Breakfast on Wednesday, November 19, at Chadwick’s in Audubon.

The Annual Recognition Breakfast honors individuals, businesses, and organizations that partner with Family Services to support children, seniors, and families throughout Montgomery County. PRCF was recognized for its ongoing partnership, mission alignment, and commitment to strengthening community-based organizations and the people they serve.

Family Services cited PRCF’s consistent support of local families, youth, seniors, and nonprofit partners, as well as the Foundation’s approach to collaboration rooted in listening and follow through. In addition to grant funding, PRCF has supported Family Services through listening sessions, capacity building opportunities, grant writing support, and access to tools such as Catchafire.

Family Services also highlighted a collaborative nutrition initiative that provided healthy food resources to young children in Pottstown. With support from an anonymous donor, Family Services worked with the Pottstown School District and PreK Counts to distribute crockpots, cookbooks, and fresh and shelf stable foods to families. The project included virtual cooking demonstrations that continue today through Family Services’ Parents as Teachers program.

More recently, PRCF and Family Services have worked together through Data Collaboration meetings aimed at strengthening shared learning and coordination among community partners. These conversations are meaningful and important for what can happen next when organizations share information and align efforts for the greater good.

This award arrives during a milestone year for PRCF. In 2025, we officially expanded from the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation to the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation, growing our reach and our long-term commitment to the region. We are honored that Family Services sees that growth as a benefit to the broader community we both serve.

We thank Family Services for this recognition, and more importantly for the daily work they do to strengthen families throughout Montgomery County. We look forward to continuing what we have built together.
