The Foundation began in 2003 with a health-focused mission. Its Board approved a broader community-foundation direction in 2023, and the organization adopted the Pottstown Regional Community Foundation name on July 4, 2025. Its IRS advance ruling period began July 1, 2026 as part of the transition.
