Grants Application & Reporting Process to Go Online in 2012

The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation is upgrading our grants management process with an optional online system. With many foundations now accepting grant applications and reports online, we anticipate that our transition will provide a more streamlined and simple approach for the community seeking grant funds, as well as for our staff and Board of Directors. The new system includes an online format for submitting Letters of Intent, grant applications, as well as six-month (interim) and one-year (final) reports. We request that you consider submitting Letters of Intent for our spring 2012 grant cycle in the new online system, but it is not required at this time. We will still be accepting Letters of Intent via email to grantsapplication@pottstownfoundation.org until further notice. Letters of Intent for spring 2012 are due February 23, 2012.

To make the transition as easy as possible, the Foundation will be glad to answer any questions you may have about the new online system. To access the new online system for submitting a new Letter of Intent, please click here. Note that the system will ask you to enter your organization’s tax ID number if you have one (schools and municipalities can provide a telephone number as your tax ID number instead). Once you have started your LOI, you can click here to access your Grantee Portal and login again for editing.

Trainings will be provided at a later date. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this transition and learning process.

The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation Board of Directors has established semi-annual
grant cycles in the spring and fall. Below is a list of timelines for upcoming grant cycles.

Due to our efforts in going “paperless”, please note changes below related to
submission of Letters of Intent, Grant Applications, and Reports.

Application Due Dates for 2012

All Letters of Intent and Final Grant Applications should be submitted online or
e-mailed to GrantsApplication@pottstownfoundation.org

Spring 2012 Grant Round – Application Due Dates:
Thursday, February 23rd (by 5 p.m.) – Due Date
– Letter of Intent to be submitted online or via e-mail
Week of April 2nd – Move Ahead & Turn Down letters e-mailed
Wednesday, April 18th – (by 5 p.m.) – Due Date
– Final Grant Applications to be submitted online or via e-mail
Week of May 28th – Final Approval & Declination letters e-mailed

Fall 2012 Grant Round – Application Due Dates:
Thursday, August 23rd (by 5 p.m.) – Due Date
– Letter of Intent to be submitted online or via e-mailed
Week of October 1st – Move Ahead & Turn Down letters e-mailed
Wednesday, October 17th – (by 5 p.m.) – Due Date
– Final Grant Applications to be submitted online or via e-mail
Week of November 26th – Final Approval & Declination letters e-mailed

Standard submittal dates for Interim & Final reports will always be the 15th of the month. If the 15th falls on a Saturday, the reports will be due Friday the 14th. If the 15th falls on a Sunday, the reports will be due Monday the 16th.
