Mission Good Nutrition: Health on the Go: A Family Affair
Pottstown, Pa., March 20, 2007 – The fourth episode of Mission Good Nutrition, a 29-minute TV program by Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation promoting healthy living, will begin running Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. on PCTV Channel 27 and will air at the same time each subsequent Wednesday in April.
“With hectic schedules, healthy eating often gets pushed to the bottom of our lists. It really is possible to eat healthy on the run and include more fruits and vegetables in your meals. Mission Good Nutrition reminds us that there are easy ways to make healthy choices and creative ways to involve the entire family,” said Dave Kraybill, executive director, Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.
Learn how to eat healthy food on the run, including healthy options for eating out, with Kathy DiGuisseppe, nutrition educator, Penn State Cooperative Extension.
Dr. Scott Stoll, medical director of the Back and Neck Center with Coordinated Health, a Lehigh Valley Practice, will help you make meals a family affair and share simple ways to get kids on board with healthy eating.
During a live cooking demo, Mandel Smith, nutrition educator, Penn State Cooperative Extension, will share creative tips for adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet and showcase two quick and healthy recipes to add fun and flavor to ordinary vegetables.
This month’s “fitness minute” introduces viewers to our new fitness guide. The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation’s Fun & Fitness for the Family is your guide to over 40 healthy activities close to home, with fun things to do all year long within a 15-mile radius of Pottstown.
